A consultant and specialist in restorative dentistry, Ken is registered with the General Dental Council on four specialist lists: restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics and periodontics.
He enjoys managing complex multidisciplinary and aesthetic cases, often involving complex reconstruction or replacement of the teeth by implants, crowns, bridges or veneers. Healthy foundations are vital for successful restoration, so Ken will also carry out the endodontic and periodontal treatments needed.
Ken graduated with a BDS (Hons) from Edinburgh University Dental School in 1983, achieving the Gold Medal. Following two years in hospital training posts, he spent 19 years in the RAF, where he did his specialist training including an MSc in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and consultant specialist training in restorative dentistry at Guy’s Hospital.
He achieved his Specialist Restorative Fellowship in Dental Surgery, FDS (Rest Dent); his Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD); and his Membership in General Dental Surgery (MGDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a Fellow of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, FFGDP (UK).
